We reserve the right to withdraw the website, any information contained in the website, and any goods offered for sale on the website, at any time. If you access our website from outside Nigeria you are responsible for compliance with local laws where they are applicable.
We will not be liable for any claims, damages and costs, including legal fees, arising out of any misuse of the website by you or any user of your computer equipment, whether authorised by you or not, or any misuse of the website or your Hiphe Davids account information by any other user (except to the extent that such misuse arises from unlawful disclosure of your account information by Hiphe Davids to third parties).
You must be 18 years or older to use the website and purchase goods offered for sale on the website.
Offer to Purchase
On receipt of your order we will issue a confirmation email to confirm receipt of your order to the email address supplied by you. Our acceptance of your order will take place upon dispatch of the products ordered.
Cancellation of an Order
If you wish to cancel or modify your order, please email charteredtailors@hiphedavids.com as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. However, for the bespoke categories once your order is under production we will be unable to make any changes.
Worldwide shipping
Items in your order that are designated for shipment to countries outside of Lagos and Nigeria may be subject to taxes, brokerage fees, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country (‘Import Fees’). The recipient of the shipment is the importer of record in the destination country and is responsible for all Import Fees.
Order Acceptance and Payment
Your order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase goods from us for personal use, and we are committed to fulfil this order to the highest service levels. We will accept your order once you have been emailed to inform you that the products you have ordered have been dispatched, or are ready for collection. Once you receive such an email, we will be contracted to you, and your contract will be concluded upon delivery of the products. We reserve the right to not accept your order for reasons including but not limited to payment issues, product availability and any error with product price or description. If your order is not accepted due to a genuine pricing error or technical issue on our website, our customer service team will get in contact with you as soon as possible.You will be offered the opportunity to either place your order at the correct price or cancel your order if you wish. If we are unable to get in contact with you, we will cancel the order and refund you in full, if payment has already been processed.
A separate Post and Packaging (P & P) charge may apply to goods and this will be shown on the website, email or through phone call. The P&P charge shown is for all customers. We reserve the right to change prices listed on the website without prior notice. We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and Verve.
Accuracy of Content
Our checking processes are designed to ensure correct prices are published and that the description of the product and its photographic representation is accurate. The colours shown on your monitor may differ to the actual colours of the garments due to technical reasons beyond our control.
Unless expressly stated, feature accessories such as ties cufflinks, lapel pins, handkerchiefs and caps shown in photography are for styling purpose only and are not included in the price of the product.
Liability
Hiphe Davids confirms that in relation to any goods purchased from the website
- We have the right to sell the goods to you.
- The goods will correspond with the description given on the website.
- and the goods will be of satisfactory quality.
Hiphe Davids excludes all other express or implied terms, conditions, warranties, representations or endorsements with regards to any goods. Hiphe Davids accepts no liability for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, or for any loss of profit, revenue or business (whether direct or indirect) however caused or whether foreseeable or not, arising from your purchase of goods on the website.
Hiphe Davids total liability to you under any contract for the purchase of goods or otherwise under this Agreement will be limited to the amount paid by you for any goods purchased.
Hiphe Davids will not be responsible for any loss or damages incurred by unauthorised use of your payment card on the website. Hiphe Davids is not responsible for notifying your card issuer or any law enforcement authority in these instances.
The limitations and exclusions in this clause do not affect your statutory rights and only apply to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this Agreement shall serve to limit Hiphe Davids’s liability for personal injury or death caused by negligence.
Entire Agreement
The above and other notices elsewhere on the website represent the entire terms and conditions relating to your use of the website to order goods and the supply of goods to you. No additional terms or conditions requested by and communicated in any way by you will form part of the contract whether accepted or not by an employee of Hiphe Davids. No employee of Hiphe Davids can alter the terms and conditions of this contract whether or not they confirm this to you in any way.
Governing Law
This Agreement and any contract for the purchase of goods shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of federal republic of Nigeria.
Trade Marks
Hiphe Davids and its logo are trademarks of Hiphe Davids Limited. Any use of the trade marks is prohibited other than with the company’s permission.
Return Policy
Returns are not accepted. We will not accept returns once we have produced and delivered a garment(s) to you. You have the option of requesting video verification before your item is sent or despatched to you.
Garments that require adjustments or corrections can be returned to our company for corrections; however, please keep in mind that the client will be liable for both sending and picking them up.
However, in the unlikely event that the client is dissatisfied with the items delivered, particularly when it comes to sizing and fittings, the offer to reproduce can be activated (Please note this can only be done if the fault is coming from us).
We will not be responsible for any refunds or producing another garment once you have agreed to the details prior to production.
Refunds: We do not issue refunds once an item has been produced or the production process has begun. Refunds are only available 24 hours before production.
VAT
Hiphe Davids charges all customers the same price throughout the world, so that the price paid in Naira is the same wherever customers live and can be adjusted to your preferred currency while shopping on our website (except for the cost of delivery both local and international). None of the significant additional administrative costs for overseas orders are passed on to customers. Equally, an effective reduction in prices through reclaiming VAT is not available.
Disclaimer
Hiphe Davids Limited gives no warranties and makes no representations, express or implied, as to the accuracy, quality, validity or completeness of any information contained in the Hiphe Davids Limited website and accepts no liability for any loss resulting directly or indirectly from the use of or reliance on any such information.
Hiphe Davids Limited shall be under no obligation to notify any person of any error in the Hiphe Davids Limited website.
Hiphe Davids Limited shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect loss or damage which may arise from the use of any of the information contained in any of the materials on this website.

PLEASE NOTE:
That payment made with direct order from our (online shop) website through credit cards will only be processed once the money drops into our company’s account. As a result of this, the delivery date will be extended and start counting from the day payment is received.
STUDENT AND CHILDREN Discount
To receive student discount online at Hiphe Davids you must have a verified student’s I.D from which you can activate your discount. Children Discount can be activated through the parents existing patronage.
PLEASE NOTE:
Student prices for kaftan starts at N25,000 with our standard fabric and can cost more if the client prefer to pick from our premium range of fabrics. Student’s with their fabrics will be charged N10,000 to sew and a N50,000 to sew convocation/graduation suit respectively.
Children’s kaftan starts from N15,000 with our standard fabric and can cost more if the client prefer to pick from our premium range of fabrics and N8,000 to sew with clients fabric. Children’s ring bearer or special suits starts from N40,000 and can cost more depending or additional frills.
Take my measurement:
It is important to note that where measurements are taken specifically for the purpose of garment production, the measurements recorded during the consultation are exclusively for production purposes and will not be shared with the client.
If you require a copy of your measurements for your personal records or for future use, you will need to subscribe to our “Take My Measurement” package, which attracts an additional charge.
Please note that these are two separate services:
- Production Measurement: Measurements are taken solely to facilitate the production of your garment and are not provided to the client.
- Take My Measurement Package: Measurements are professionally recorded and provided to you for your personal use at an additional cost.
We kindly ask that clients understand this distinction when booking their consultation and measurement appointment.
Measurement Services
Hiphe Davids Limited offers a professional measurement service for individuals and organisations, regardless of location. Simply book an appointment, provide the required information, select your preferred date, and make payment at https://hiphedavids.com/free-consultation/ . A member of our team will then contact you to confirm your appointment.
Measurement & Allowance
Measurements are taken as firm body circumferences. Your tailor will determine and apply the appropriate allowance required for comfort and fit, based on your body structure and individual preference.
Hiphe Davids Limited will not be responsible for fitting errors resulting from incorrect judgement or failure by a third party to apply the appropriate allowance to the measurements provided.
Access to Measurements
Customers who subscribe to the Take My Measurement package will receive access to their professionally recorded measurements for personal use. Measurements will remain accessible for 12 months only.
Customers taking this service will also receive a free consultation on suitable measurements based on their body structure. This consultation does not include advice on garment styles. However, the intended garment style will be considered when taking the measurements, as different styles may require different measurement considerations.
Important: Two Different Services
- Production Measurement
Measurements taken specifically for the production of a garment are strictly for production purposes and will not be shared with the client.
- Take My Measurement Package
This is a separate paid service where measurements are professionally recorded and made available to the customer for personal use for 12 months.
Please ensure you understand the distinction between these two services when booking your consultation and measurement appointment.
Dry clean my clothes terms and conditions:
Dry cleaning/washing:
We are glad to work our magic on your garments, and we’ll ensure all compliance processes are followed to ensure that we deliver as expected. Please note that clothes with stains that we perceived won’t go away might not be attended to unless we get the authorisation from the customer to go ahead and clean them.
If there is a need for corrections and adjustments on garments that are originally made by Hiphe Davids Limited, we can make corrections and adjustments if necessary for free based on our discretion. We, therefore, might charge to adjust clothes that are not originally sewn by us.
Damages claim:
In case of damage to material and its our fault, we are only liable to compensate and shall not exceed five (5) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of the brand or worth. WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY UNCLAIMED GARMENT AFTER 90 DAYS from the time it was received.
Pick-up and delivery:
Please note that delivery charges vary depending on what the riders are willing to charge. This means that there might be a surge in the prices for pick-up and delivery, and there might also be delays based on riders’ availability.
Please note that these riders are third-party individuals and are only contacted independently for the purpose of logistics. For sensitive items and delivery, please speak to one of our managers for advice before sending your items through them.
